Pelzer's works address the physical presence and materiality of real spaces. Considering the growing influence of new media, particularly online, which alters values in the real world, his installations attempt to engage with existing places and intervene in their original architecture.
His artistic language can be described as "beyond the formal" because his elements refer to standardized forms of media such as computer screens and cinematic formats, or abstract parameters like exponential functions. The use of glass, one of the key materials in his installations, stems from its direct influence on viewers' perception of space and its physical yet invisible nature. For Pelzer, the tension between space and his works is crucial, as it reflects the relationship between reality and its overlay of an immaterial and abstract world. Through these observations, Pelzer reveals the current structures for perceiving the material aspect of everyday life.
