La Materia Parla

Curated by Monica Trigona, the exhibition connects to a tradition that defines Chieri and establishes it as a city attentive to the nuances of contemporary art. This vision has been strengthened over the years with a focus on Fiber Art, an artistic expression of textiles, which is another significant element of the region. This international art movement borrows weaving techniques and applies them in entirely novel and conceptual ways, driven by a pioneering spirit in the reuse of various materials. The exhibition aims to explore certain plastic productions, original and highly personal, that from the 1980s to the present day have contributed to the development of multifaceted contemporary expression, placing great importance on the deep and primal element that is the substance of its language: MATERIAL.
