The exhibited works continue Lucia Leuci’s exploration of synthetic and natural materials, with contrasting elements used as tools for metropolitan investigation. Through the use of coefficients related to simple daily experiences, Leuci stages an intimate portrait of a community increasingly searching for the agrarian world from which it has distanced itself in the past.
The title of the exhibition is an inverted quote from the famous 1980s film "Il ragazzo di campagna", a cult movie where Renato Pozzetto plays a genuine and humble character from a still-rural Italy, grappling with a society oriented towards modernity and consumerism. Today, people live in a continuous city with no beginning or end, dreaming of a natural dimension of proximity, the lost greenery of our psyche.
